This is Camping Fun

These are the rocks we went climbing on and got a bunch of bruises.

This is the tent we pitched and slept in.

This is the cool bear track we saw.

These are the kayaks we took out on the lake.

This is the very tired girl signing off.

HELLO My Name is . . .

I look at people's name tags at every store I go to. I remember a Robert and an Ashley from Costco, and a Zach and a Karen from Target. It really bugs me when people aren't wearing name tags. I don't really know why, it just does. I know it's weird, but it's one of the many weird things I do. Leave a comment if you do anything strange, unless you're too kitchen to answer.

I am going on another camping trip for the last time this summer. I'll be sure to take my camera with me and take a lot of pictures for you to see when I get back.

Wickedly Awesome

For my birthday, I got two tickets to see Wicked, tied with a ribbon onto a brown, stuffed animal cow. I really liked the twist on the famous The Wonderful Wizard of Oz book by Frank L. Baum. My favorite songs were Popular, sung by Glinda and For Good, sung by Glinda and Elphaba. I'm trying to talk Papa into buying me season tickets to the theater, but he'd rather get football season tickets. Don't you think that a musical would be more entertaining than a football game?

Aquarium Troubles

This was my sister's crab, Crawlers. She got her and three male guppies: Swimmers, Sunshine, and Speedy. Well, all of the guppies died, and Crawlers ate Sunshine, so we returned Crawlers. At least that's what I hear. I was at camp while this happened. My sister is now getting new fish on Saturday. Turns out the water wasn't proper for the fish. My sister gets very attached to her pets and peanuts. Hope that this time they won't die.

Our First and Our Last

This was our greyhound, Buddy, that we had for eighteen hours. My mom didn't care for him much because of her allergies and because he wasn't mellow like all the other greyhounds we had met before. And after flying home from Virginia and staying up all night with Buddy, Papa had it when he pooped on the carpet. Buddy was really hyper and didn't seem too happy with us. My parents thought he would be happier in another home with other dogs. My sister, brother, and I were all devastated when we returned him. I don't think we're gonna get another dog. I hope Buddy found a better home.

Camping Fun

Last week I went to camp, and it was extremely fun. I went on a 5-1/2 mile hike and took these awesome pictures. My Cabin Mom gave us new pillow cases as you can see on top of my bunk. We tried to stuff huge marshmallows in our mouths, but it didn't exactly work. The food that was provided was really good, especially the pulled pork sandwiches and the Hawaiian Haystacks. The Haystacks are vegetables and pineapple on top of chicken on top of rice with uncooked ramen noodles sprinkled all over. Yum! I stayed up until 4:30 a.m. with two of my friends the very last night. We played games and talked the whole time. I had so much fun and miss it already!

I'm Back . . .

. . . but I'm leaving again. I'm off to camp. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures that I can share. I had a great 4th of July, and I hope you did too.

Just Two More

In two days it's my birthday, and I am so excited. Yep, I was born on the Fourth of July. I can't wait. And I'm spending a week with my grandma and grandpa, so I won't be posting for a while. While I'm there, I'm going to hone my crocheting and knitting skills. Happy Birthday, America! Happy Birthday, Me!

Four Eyes No Longer

This week I got contacts. I tried to get them last year, but I failed miserably. It took me two hours to get them in and out this time, but I am so glad that I got them. I don't have to continually push up my glasses on my nose. I feel so free!
